Who we are

Inner Circle operates the website at innercircle.run and the companion chat service available through it. In this policy "Inner Circle", "we" and "us" mean the company behind that service, and "you" means the person using it. Inner Circle acts as the controller of the personal data described below.

Scope of this policy

This policy covers the Inner Circle website, the chat interface, account emails and any support conversation you have with us. It does not cover independent websites that you reach by leaving Inner Circle, even where the link was placed by us.

Age requirement

Inner Circle is available to adults only. You must be at least 18 years old, or older where your country sets a higher age for adult services. We do not knowingly collect data from minors, and any account identified as belonging to a minor is closed and its data erased.

Account information

When you register we collect an email address, a hashed password or a sign-in token from the provider you chose, a display name and the date the account was created. You may add optional details such as a profile picture or preferred language; none of these are required to use Inner Circle.

Conversation content

Messages you exchange with a companion, along with voice notes and any image requests, are stored against your account so the companion can maintain continuity between sessions. Conversation content is treated as sensitive by default and is never published, sold or shared for advertising.

Payment information

Card numbers are entered directly with our payment processor and never reach Inner Circle servers. We receive only a transaction reference, the amount, the currency, the last four digits, the card brand and the result of the charge, which we keep for accounting and refund purposes.

Technical and device data

Like any website, Inner Circle records an IP address, browser type, operating system, screen size, referring page and timestamps. This data supports security, fraud prevention and correct rendering of the interface on your device.

Usage analytics

We measure aggregate behaviour such as which sections are opened, how long a session lasts and where people leave the page. Analytics are examined in aggregate; we do not build advertising profiles of individual members from them.

Cookies and similar tools

  • Essential cookies keep you signed in and protect forms against abuse.
  • Preference cookies remember settings such as language or muted sounds.
  • Analytics cookies count visits and measure performance in aggregate.

Non-essential cookies are set only where you allow them, and your browser settings can block or clear any of them at any point.

Why we process your data

We process personal data to create and secure your account, to deliver companion conversations with continuity, to take payment for memberships, to answer support requests, to detect abuse and fraud, and to meet the legal obligations that apply to us.

Legal bases

Where data protection law requires a legal basis, we rely on the performance of our contract with you for account and chat features, on your consent for optional cookies and marketing email, on our legitimate interest in keeping Inner Circle safe and functional, and on legal obligation for tax and record keeping.

Model improvement and training

Your private conversations are not used to train public models. A small, pseudonymised sample may be reviewed internally to fix quality problems, and you can switch that off in your account settings at any time without losing features.

Automated processing

Replies from a companion are generated automatically, and automated systems also flag suspected fraud or prohibited content. Automated flags that would close an account are reviewed by a person before the decision takes effect, and you may contest the outcome.

Service providers

We share the minimum necessary data with hosting providers, payment processors, email delivery services, error monitoring tools and customer support software. Each provider is bound by contract to process data only on our instructions and to apply appropriate security.

International transfers

Our infrastructure and providers may be located outside your country. Where data leaves the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we rely on adequacy decisions or on standard contractual clauses together with additional technical safeguards.

Retention periods

  • Account records are kept while the account is open.
  • Conversation history is kept until you delete it or close the account.
  • Payment and invoice records are kept for the period tax law requires.
  • Security logs are kept for a limited window and then discarded.

Security measures

Traffic to Inner Circle is encrypted in transit, passwords are hashed with a modern algorithm, access to production systems is limited to named staff with multi-factor authentication, and stored conversation data is encrypted at rest. No system is perfect, but these controls are reviewed regularly.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to processing, withdraw consent, receive a portable copy and complain to a supervisory authority. Inner Circle honours these requests for all members, regardless of location.

Access and portability

You can request a machine-readable export of your account details and conversation history. We respond within 30 days and may ask you to confirm your identity first so that nobody else can obtain your data.

Deleting your account

Closing your account removes your profile and conversation history from the live service immediately and from backups within 30 days. Records we are legally required to keep, such as invoices, are retained separately and are not used for any other purpose.

Marketing preferences

Optional emails about new companions and features are sent only if you opt in. Every message contains a one-click unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing never affects service emails about billing, security or account status.

Discreet billing

Charges appear on your statement under a neutral descriptor that does not mention companions or adult content. Receipts are sent to the email on your account and are not forwarded to anyone else.

Third-party links

Some pages link to services we do not control. Once you follow such a link, the privacy practices of that destination apply, and we recommend reading their policy before providing any information.

Disclosure required by law

We may disclose data where a valid legal order compels it, where it is necessary to establish or defend legal claims, or where there is a serious risk to someone's safety. We review each request, refuse those that are overbroad and notify affected members where we are permitted to do so.

Breach notification

If a security incident affects your personal data and creates a real risk to you, we will notify you and the relevant authority without undue delay, describe what happened and explain the steps we are taking as well as the steps you may wish to take.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated as Inner Circle develops. The date at the top always reflects the current version, and material changes are announced by email or by an in-service notice before they take effect.

Contacting Inner Circle

Privacy questions, access requests and complaints can be sent to privacy@innercircle.run. We reply to every message, and if you are not satisfied with our answer you are entitled to raise the matter with your local data protection authority.
